With the S.H.I.E.L.D (Safety Helmet Identification and Emergency Lifesaving Data) Program, the child's confidential, personal information is secured on the inside of the child's safety helmet.
Medics simply remove the helmet, detach the S.H.I.E.L.D ID Tag from inside, and are then better prepared to immediately give the child the best possible medical treatment. Each S.H.I.E.L.D ID Tag is designed to be completed by the parent or guardian, sealed in a plastic pouch, and attached inside the crown of the helmet. No one can read the child's personal information without removing and opening the plastic pouch, assuring privacy. A S.H.I.E.L.D Alert Sticker is attached on the outside of the helmet to notify emergency personnel of the child's participation in the program.
